In my childhood bedroom at night, I had a little white Snoopy transistor radio that I loved.

I'd tuck it under my pillow, plug in a single earbud to not get busted by the parents, and scan the radio dial. Some nights I'd build a tent out of blankets creating a private listening cave. Laying there in the dark I heard a broad mix of pop, rock, country, classical, and jazz. Tunes by greats in their field, and many crossover acts Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Hall & Oats, Billy Joel, The Beatles, Queen, Paul Simon, Jim Croce and too many country acts to name. Truly a sweet memory from childhood that shaped my love for songs, appreciation for artists, and being in awe of the power of recorded music.

Now a full-time professional musician, I get to perform my own stylized versions of cover songs, both as Shortcut Sunny and also in a duo called All The Vibes, which features a female singer.

King Size Dreams is the project name under which I record, release and perform original music.

In 2020, with the Coronavirus shutdown, work was a bit slow. I perused old spiral notebooks, lyrics scribbled on napkins, seeking those funny, forgotten ideas I might've scrawled out some sleepy morning. Using home studio equipment, I began crafting full songs, both music, lyrics and arrangements. I played every instrument; guitars, bass, keyboards, live percussion instruments, and some drum programming. I performed all lead and harmony vocals while recording and mixing the final product myself.

The 5 songs on this initial recording are a light pop/rock with some jazzy influences.

Topics include city stairwells and the natural reverb while playing an acoustic guitar.

I get philosophical about a laid back approach to life, wax poetic about morning sex, share snap shots of an impassioned lovers remorse. And at the end, I throw in a funky, group discussion on the caramelization of onions.

We all have dreams, big and small. This album represents some of mine.

I hope you'll enjoy listening to King Size Dreams, and stayed tune for more to come.
